Bobtailed spinewing dragons are a curious example of convergent evolution: they exhibit hopping behaviour not unlike jerboa and kangaroos. Although they retain small vestigial wings, as with their ear-like frills, these are used primarily for display and cooling. Hatchlings will commonly wait for their siblings to join them before leaving the nest.
